Time Table - All Events

7:00am    Event trailer arrives, start course set up
8:00am    Registration opens, tech opens
8:00am    Trailer set up, timing ready
8:30am    Start timing boards and worker assignments, start chalking course, course open for walking
9:00am    Registration closes (after 9:00 $10 late fee will be enforced)
9:00am    Novice walk through starts
9:15am    Tech closes, boards complete
9:30am    Grid person has list and sets grid area, boards really done
9:30am     Driver's meeting run by Solo II director
10:00am    First car off

Course Locations

SANTA FE PLACE - formerly known as Villa Linda Mall. Take I-25 North to Santa Fe. Exit at Cerrillos Road. Drive ~2 miles down Cerrillos. The mall will be on your right.

SANTA FE DOWNS - Take I25 to exit #271. Get on west side of I-25 and take the frontage road. Go North 5 miles to Downs entrance.

If you miss this exit take exit# 276B. Go to 1st light, go left on frontage rd. 2 miles to downs.

SANDIA MOTORPLEX - take I-40 west to the Paseo del Vulcan exit. Cross back across I-40 to the south frontage road. Go west on the frontage road until the dead end. Take a left and you will see the track about 3 miles from there. There are no services so please plenty of food, water, and gasoline.

FARMINGTON (McGee Park) - take I-25 North to Hwy 550 West for 160 miles.  Left onto Hwy 64 (W Broadway Ave) for approximately 5 miles. McGee Park @ Sunray Casino  is on the left.

UNM G Lot - South on I25 Exit at Lomas Blvd (just south of the junction with I40). Turn Left (E) on Lomas. Go ~1/4 mile to University Blvd. Turn Left (N) on University. Go ~500 ft. Event site is on the left (E) side of the road.

Espanola Municipal Airport - As you are going thru Espanola on Highway 68, North, South, Taos hwy. Look for WALGREEN'S, turn east on Fairview lane. Go ALL THE WAY TO END, (you must turn left or right) Turn LEFT, North. Go 1.2 miles to site.


Solo II Morning Duties

Event Chair Responsibilities:

  •     Sets up course
  •     Makes sure Solo II director is there and helping
  •     Check time sheet

Solo II Director Responsibilities:

  •     Put on brightly colored vest
  •     Work from time sheet
  •     Help organize event from start to finish
  •     Registration - timing - course help - course marking
  •     Do talk for driver's meeting (including safety)
  •     Hand out awards at end of event

Novice Directors Responsibilities:

  •     Put on brightly colored vest
  •     Set area up for novices to pit together
  •     Help novices through registration and tech
  •     Do walk through
  •     Ride 1st and 2nd runs or as you see fit

Equipment Chief Responsibilities:

  •     Get registration going
  •     Set up timing equipment

Chief of Workers Responsibilities:

  •     Work with registration to set workers assignments
  •     Do timing boards
  •     Make sure radios and flags are available for workers

Solo Safety Steward Responsibilities:

  •     Put on brightly colored vest
  •     Discuss course with Event Chair
  •     Maintain safety issues at all times
  •     Make sure that gate is manned and waivers are signed

Chief of Tech Responsibilities:

  •     Set up tech area (use only this area for tech)
  •     Tech cars
  •     Solve classification issues for registration

Registrar's Responsibilities:

  •     Set up registration area
  •     Register all competitors
  •     Help Chief of workers set work assignments

*** Radios will be used in the morning by the Event Chair, Solo II director, Equipment Chief, Safety Stewart, Registration, and Chief of Tech.***

*** All Chiefs will be at each event or cover their position with qualified people.***
